here’s a little about me:

I am confident to say that I am an elite personal trainer and online coach in the fitness industry. I own and manage my own gym @themarkhamgym, employ over 15 top-notch trainers, and have been personal training/coaching for over 8 years now.

My resume:
I have graduated from two different universities: McMaster University and University of Toronto in Health (kinesiology) and Gerontology with minors in sociology and religious studies. During my time in school I played varsity level football, enrolled in over 10 physiotherapy and occupational therapy based courses to enhance my knowledge and still carry my passion for continuous learning with me today. I always keep up to date with fitness/health trends (debunking most of them) and find science based academic articles to better help my clients. Needless to say, I may be holding the answers you’re looking for. I have also worked for and still volunteer as a geriatric care provider for several retirement homes regularly in the recreational and occupational therapy departments; I had and still have handfuls of senior clients who have reclaimed their health and youth. I love treating people’s injuries (knee surgery, hip replacements, torn ligaments/muscles, sciatica, concussions, frozen shoulder, etc.) and imbalances via my knowledge of rehabilitation and injury prevention.

I have been in two men’s physique shows myself, put others into bikini and physique competitions with gold, silver and bronze medals to show for it as well as an overall gold medal. My strategies are very science based and safe. I believe that fitness, in balance with lifestyle training is the best approach and that teaching my clients literally everything and designing a program for them builds their independence, enabling them to become more self-sufficient and more confident in their abilities. I also implement flexible dieting theories so that you can eat whatever you want to maximize your performance levels, not jeopardize your health and wellbeing and still come out on top with your goals surpassed. I have experience in CrossFit (CF lvl.1), olympic weightlifting, and functional fitness.

My goal is to reach out to as many people as possible and just help. Whether you’re absolutely new to exercise and diet, a beginner lifter or a gym-rat, you’ve done yourself a great service by coming to my page. The way I see it is that everyone, including the greatest athletes in the world can benefit from personal training and programming.
